Nick has been keeping the beat for Uncle Uncle for nearly 6 years, right there since the beginning. Through that time he’s been a best friend, roommate, chef, tour companion, pun maker and brother through the best and worst shows, coolest studios and grimiest honky tonks. If you’ve ever danced at an uncle show, thank @fieldsy for the groove. He’s the kind of drummer that can take you underground and into boogie town at the same time. He’s the kind of friend that will ask you about your day and really listen, then proceed to make you the most incredible meal you’ve ever had (Mike’s way).
Well folks- we need to show up for nick. Last week he had a debilitating migraine that earned him a couple visits to urgent care, then ultimately the emergency room. The second visit turned up a nickel-sized tumor in his brain.. cancerous. They got it out.
He’s one cranial surgery into this thing and has a long road to recovery, during which he won’t be working and will be hurting financially on top of all of the medical and emotional pain he’s facing.
