Oursekai’s first trophy! 🏆 Thank you to all the staff at @connecticon for creating a magical experience for all the con goers this year! 💚 We competed in the Masquerade with handmade cosplays of the Dazzlings from Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks with original choreography by Ashley!! 🩷🔮 “I couldn’t be more proud of all of us for this performance and winning our first award together is just an added bonus! I’ve always loved the MLP Equestria Girl movies and it was surreal bringing the Dazzlings to life with our own costumes and choreo!! I was trying SOOOOO hard to not break character when the entire crowd starting singing along to the music and you all truly made it so special!! I want to thank the staff and judges as well for making this such a fun experience (shout out to Tien, the stage team, and chibicon drag queens)!! And of course, I’m so thankful for Coco and Deja for being here with me and helping bring this to life. Coco was the brains behind the necklaces and dance fabrics and Deja was so helpful with costume making. This was my first time choreographing a performance piece and the besties were able to execute it to perfection! I took a lot of inspo from kpop along with my own dance experience over the years to create a Dazzlings worthy girl group choreo.
