⛰️⚒️ On Saturday a group of volunteers will go to the Black Head Loop in the Burren to help Mountain Meitheal mantain the hiking trail!

⛰️🥾Sunday's B (intermediate) hike brings us to Galtymore in the Galtee Mountains! This will be the semester's final 50 person hike, so make sure to grab a spot!

🏅OPC Bouldering Competition🏅
This Wednesday the 15th, we will be hosting a bouldering competition at the UL Wall! Whether you're in it to win it or just want to do something different, this is an event you don't want to miss💪🏆
There are Beginner and Advanced categories for both Male and Female
Climbing less than 6 months ➡️ Beginner
Climbing more than 6 months ➡️ Advanced
💸 Cost of €5
There will be two sessions:
⏰️ Session 1 - 18:00 to 20:00
⏰️ Session 2 - 20:00 to 22:00
Sign up is available now on UL Wolves, so go and choose your session!
ℹ️ The scoring will mirror that of intervarsities with a flash as 10 points, second attempt as 7 points, third attempt as 4 points and topping the climb as 1 point - a great opportunity to familiarise yourself with an official scoring system! All scoring and rules will be explained on the day, so don't worry if this is your first rodeo 😉

Throwback to our wonderful Scotland trip!🏔🏴
What an unforgettable 3 days of guiding and winter mountaineering experience! Many skills were learnt and improved upon with our wonderful guide @bruton.james , covering topics like avalanches, movement skills on a rope, the basics of ice climbing and learning how to build various snow anchors and belay stations. The trip also included a breathtaking ascent of Stob Coire nan Lochan 🌄🪢
This incredible trip was all done through the @mountaineering_ireland Winter Mountaineering course ❄️🥾
