I am a photographer and filmmaker, completely in love with active volcanoes. I was the first woman to abseil 600m deep inside an active volcano. To me, volcanoes are so much about the creation of everything, but destruction at the same time. It’s the most humbling experience to whiteness the power of the earth and makes me realize that being alive is a big present. ❤️
I can live my dream by exploring the world and sharing with you what I learn from it, trying to make the world a littlle better. It was not an easy path to here, but it never felt like work, because I enjoy so much what I do. 🌋📸🧗♀️🌊🏄♀️🤿🏝🏕🚐🎥🥾
So I want to encourage YOU to find what you are passionate about, and follow the opportunities which will be given to you. It might take some work and requires stepping out of the comfort zone- but in the end, it will lead to your dreams. 👣🌋👣
Every sunday at 19:30h German time, I do an Instagram Live with free photography lessons, live shootings or challenges. A great community formed, the #ULF (Ulla Lohmann Family) as they named themselves. 😍You are the best!!! We even published a book together (107 photographers) and had a meeting in real live. If you want to be part of that community, just follow my lives on a regular base, participate in the discussions or challenges. Feel free also to enter the dialogue with the others. - never give up
- always trust in yourself, trust the rope which holds you and the people who love you.
- love what you do, or even better: love everything and anything in general. And show it.
-always reach for higher goals - even if you don’t reach them today. With passion and experience, you will get there one day.
- don’t forget the Gummibärchen as reward! 😂
- as always: Don’t dream it - do it.
- and if nothing works: Go and see an active volcano. It will put things back in perspective. 🌋🙏🏼

Photographe aventurière, elle a fait des volcans son territoire, et des peuples qui vivent à leur contact, le cœur de son travail. Descendre dans un cratère, partager le quotidien des communautés, attendre que la lave parle : ses images racontent autant la puissance du vivant que la relation fragile entre l’humain et la nature.
