This year, we launched two new issues — No. 4, The Environmental Issue, in February, and No. 5, After Now, in November — and organized numerous events (and even a festival) across Kyiv, Lviv, Berlin, Sarajevo, Lutsk, and Paris. On top of that, our third issue received yet more awards for its design, overseen by our creative directors at @kollektiv.scrollan .
All of this makes now the perfect moment to say thank you to everyone involved: our contributors, collaborators, sponsors, readers, friends, families, and all those who have inspired us along the way.
Thanks are flying your way from Kyiv and Berlin. May 2026 be easy ❤️
📍Next Tuesday in Warsaw:

The event is organized by the Environmental Humanities Center of the University of Warsaw.

Chornobyl is known worldwide as the site of the world’s worst nuclear catastrophe. Yet the wider Polissyan landscape in which the Chornobyl Zone is situated, with its swampy wetlands and wellpreserved Ukrainian traditions is rarely brought to our attention.
Art historian @semenik.oksana and geographer @jonnyjt explore the unique Polissyan landscape and its cultures of nature by examining Polissyan artworks from before and after the Chornobyl catastrophe, with a special focus on the works of Maria Prymachenko.

Twice a year, thousands of birds pause at the Tuzly Lagoons on a narrow spit of land in Bessarabia between the Danube and the Dnister during migration season. Once a haven for wildlife and stargazers, the area has been scarred by war since 2022—birds have fled, and dolphins now wash ashore. In Fragile Shores (2024), photographer Daria Svertilova captured the toll of Russia’s invasion on this fragile ecosystem for Solomiya Magazine.
The works of @svertilova are featured in the current Solomiya No. 4 — The Environmental Issue.

Join us on 1 June for a march in support of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.
⠀
Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Ukraine has faced a genocide targeting its children.
⠀
📌 19,546 documented cases of unlawful deportations

📌 At least 1.6 million remain in Russia or in Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine:
⠀
Children have been abducted from orphanages, schools, hospitals, and homes - renamed, re-educated, and stripped of their identity.
This is a deliberate and systematic attack on Ukraine’s future.
