Before roadtripping from New York to Miami, @jarrettearnest dropped by artist Sean Bennett’s studio (@uhmmwhat ) to pick up his final passenger.
The passenger in question was a towering—and somewhat delayed—hair sculpture, which Earnest planned to exhibit as part of “Acid Bath House,” a group exhibition curated at @ninajohnsongallery for Miami Art Week.
The show, which features works by a host of queer artists who summon glamour from undervalued materials, opened last night without a hitch. (Even if Bennett could be spotted in the corner adding a few finishing touches to his opus.) All deadlines are made to be broken.

A selection of reimagined Bartsch classics of mine on display as part of her exhibition of collaborators at the @museumgestaltung in Zurich on display till December. Pigeons, flowers, the showgirl, top hat, whips, and woven pieces all styles I’ve done on Susanne in the past given a new life on a wall and not in Tupperware buckets in my closet. Also included in the show is a process video I made and some archive moments we’ve hoarded. Thank you endlessly to Susanne for supporting my freak off a leash behavior and giving this white trash small town florida boy a chance to show my gift and curse of hair bipolar. Big shout out to @jetkeefebeauty@automatedhumanity and of course my son @matthewsosnowski for helping me be an extra set of hands in fiddling some follicles. If you’re in Zurich go stop by and see or maybe destroy something so I can get the insurance money 😘
Woven and weaved angel wings for a fallen archangel. These won’t be ever seen on someone and will be locked away forever cause they never fully got to the state of perfection they needed to be. Probably one of the most difficult projects I’ve been tasked with, I’ve balanced a lot of heavy shit on peoples heads but this was a whole different beast. Absolutely love how they came out and would be a travesty they not be shared. Can’t thank @matthewsosnowski and @automatedhumanity for your endless help in making these wings come to life and @zaldynyc for even thinking I could pull something like this off. You all are rockstars!!! Hand dyed, hand applied tinsel, hand woven, and hand done!!! Bring back couture!!! More of these kinds of projects!! Less flat hair more FAB hair!!
