Ciao @uffeisolotto ! Four years after representing Denmark at the 2022 @labiennale , Uffe Isolotto returns to Italy for a residency at @fertilefertilefertile . Save the date for his upcoming solo show at @palazzomonti on June 13th, followed by a show at @bunkervik . Uffe Isolotto (b. 1976) is a Danish sculptor, graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen in 2007. His artistic practice centers on animating the inanimate—activating objects, bodies, and spaces through material transformation and narrative. He works across sculpture and immersive installation, often in collaboration with film, theatre, design, and fashion. Combining materials such as silicone, human hair, and paint with found or historical objects, he creates new constellations that reflect contemporary technological, social, and cultural shifts. His works frequently feature hybrid bodies that blur boundaries between human and non-human, organic and synthetic. In recent years, he has created large-scale, sensorial installations, notably Milk Eye and We Walked the Earth. In 2022, he represented Denmark at the Venice Biennale with We Walked the Earth. The project will be reworked into a new series of works for an exhibition at Palazzo Monti in Brescia in June 2026.

Foto: Frida Gregersen English version in comments🤍

Arterritory Archive: Conversations on the Future “We may be building a future our bodies and minds are not ready for.” In this conversation with Danish artist Uffe Isolotto (@uffeisolotto ), we explore his installation “We Walked the Earth”, - a speculative portrait of a hybrid future where technology, agriculture and evolution intertwine. At a time of rapid technological change, ecological pressure and global instability, the questions raised by the work feel even more urgent today. - From the Arterritory archive. Uffe Isolotto learned from martial arts that energy can be redirected. When you hit a snag in your creative practice, sometimes the solution isn’t pushing back harder. It’s moving with the problem. Swipe and save for the next time you’re stuck → Full conversation with Uffe is live now. Link in bio.

It may not be a manual on how to join the cult—which would have been helpful as an introduction, or even an initiation, to my exhibition Mælkeøje [Milk Eye] at Holstebro Kunstmuseum (June 7–November 30, 2025)—but rather a considered reflection on the project. The publication features an insightful essay on the exhibition’s themes, as well as a series of richly saturated short fictional texts by curator Stephanie Cristello @scristello , which were made as a separate print for the opening of the exhibition and incorporated into the design of this publication. Thank you so much, Stephanie! Its design is the result of many rewarding conversations with graphic designer Claus Due @studioclausdue , with great attention paid to detail throughout. Thanks for making this fun! The publication is filled with excellent documentary photographs by David Stjernholm @david_stjernholm , and Narayana Press expertly oversaw the printing process. My thanks to Holstebro Kunstmuseum @holstebrokunstmuseum for inviting me to create the exhibition and for giving it an afterlife through this publication. A book launch will take place on December 17, generously hosted by Den Frie @denfrie.cph , in Café Pegasus, from 4–6 pm. The publication is available through the museum’s webshop.

The artist who thinks about EVERYTHING. When Uffe Isolotto @uffeisolotto builds a world, he considers every single detail, down to the sound, the texture and smell. His installations are so immersive, so meticulously crafted, they change you. People can’t stop talking about his work after experiencing it. In this episode, he opens up about: → Representing Denmark at the Venice Biennale (and what happened after) → Using people skills to bring impossible visions to life → Evolving from poetry to creating epic hyperrealistic installations and then on to filmmaking This is Season 3, Episode 1 and it’s the perfect kickoff to what’s shaping up to be our best season yet. 🎧 Out now wherever you get your podcasts.
