La commémoration pour Sourour a été l'occasion de réunir des familles (de) victimes de violences policières nationales et internationales autour d'un panel. Les modérateurices Laetitia Muong et Eric Cyuzuzo ont articulé des questions sur le deuil afin de réconcilier la spiritualité avec la lutte. Les intervenant•es ont partagé leurs expériences de la place du corps, autant de ceux des victimes que de ceux de leurs proches, face à l'état et au deuil. Ces traumas mentaux et physiques ont été situés dans une analyse décoloniale du racisme systémique et de la violence d'état. Les similarités frappantes entre chaque cas isolé de violences policières de pays en pays montrent que cette injustice stratégique n'a pas de frontières.
Ces rencontres ont permis de consolider des liens internationaux d'amitié et de solidarité entre les familles.
Nous tenons à remercier du plus profond de nos coeurs Aicha Barrie, Christophe Sinnan, Fatia Alcabélard, Fatou Dieng, Marcia Rigg et Ouafah Haddaji. Nous remercions également l'équipe du @beursschouwburg ainsi que les traducteurices-interpères bénévoles qui ont facilité la conversation.
