The desert is coming to Santa Barbara!
We're so excited to be participating in the inaugural Santa Barbara Literary Festival this weekend, and we hope to see some familiar faces there!
We'll have a booth set up at the Santa Barbara Public Library with candy as bribery, and we've got our crew on a few awesome panels, so make sure you check out the schedule and come say hey!

The Low-Residency MFA @ UC Riverside @ucrpdlrmfa , based out of Palm Desert, is one of the premiere writing programs in the world. Alumni include national and international bestselling authors, Emmy Award winners, PEN USA finalist playwrights, acclaimed journalists and memoirists, award-winning poets, top television and film producers, and even a member of Congress.
Visit them this weekend at Booth #134 in the Gold Zone!
We're only a few hours out from the Give Day deadline at noon Pacific today!
We had a blast at last night's Zoom with special guests and familiar faces, but it's not over yet! We're still aiming for that beautiful dream of giving every new student their first residency free, so make sure to swing by and drop a few dollars into the pot for the next generation of writers!

It's UCR Give Day and we want to pull off our greatest stunt yet! As the reigning champions of Give Day last year, we were able to give nearly every new student scholarship funds towards their tuition.
But we're dreaming bigger! We want to be able to give every new student their first residency entirely free.
We've been lucky over the course of our 18 years together to build a robust scholarship program for our incoming and continuing students and that's all because of you.
Give Day comes with a bunch of matching fund opportunities, so donations during this time have an opportunity to be even more valuable to the students' lives. So if you're so inclined, we'd be grateful for anything you can spare.
Plus we'll be hosting a sure to be exciting Zoom this evening at 7pm with surprise guests and Tod on the spot to interrogate them!
