Elevate your summer with two special movement series at Ucross: yoga and sound hikes.
Join us for a new series of invigorating yoga classes in The Park at Ucross. Starting at 10 a.m., instructor Tressa Lawrence ( @mtnmagnoliayoga ) will lead an hour-long yoga class on Saturday, June 6; Saturday, July 11; and Saturday, August 22. We encourage you to bring a yoga mat or towel, water, and comfortable clothing. Included with your ticket is a free beverage at the Ucross Café and entry into a raffle for a Ucross tote.
Then, you are invited to the continuation of our sound hike series to experience “Confluences.” Once a month, starting Tuesday, May 19, we will host a guided sound hike surrounding the emplaced sound experience, “Confluences,” created by Ucross Fellows Teri Rueb and Laurids Sonne. During the hike, Ucross staff will walk with visitors on a private trail on the ranch as interactive areas of sound play on headphones.

Cheers to Ucross Fellow Gabe Brown (@gabebrownstudio ) for recently opening her solo exhibition “Closer to the Sun” at Kenise Barnes Fine Art (@kenisebarnesfineart ) located in Kent, Connecticut.
An acclaimed American painter, Gabe’s work explores the mystical forces of the natural world through luminous color, symbolic geometry, and layered abstraction. Gabe’s paintings invite viewers into a universe where the rhythms of nature, memory, and imagination converge.
“Closer to the Sun” is on view now through June 7. If you are in the area, be sure to drop by.
