Last month, UCLA Labor Center's Lisa Lei and Emely Rauda attended the inaugural CTA Womenâs Conference.
They held a workshop, called Women Leading Change: Lessons from Labor History for Todayâs Changemakers. This workshop sought to highlight past influential labor activists with the goal of empowering and building confidence in the next generation of leading women.

From April 15â17, the UCLA Labor Center joined a regional delegation across El Salvador and Honduras as part of the Northern Triangle Migration Solidarity Initiative: âThe Right to Stay Home.â
In partnership with the ConfederaciĂłn Centroamericana y del Caribe (COFECA) and the Universidad de El Salvador (UES), this initiative brings together academic institutions, labor organizations, and community partners to confront the root causes of migration and build transnational strategies grounded in dignity, economic justice, and community self-determination.
