Congratulations to Margo Bartlett, named the School of Dance’s Outstanding Senior this spring!
An artist, scholar, leader, and mentor, Margo brought her full self to every corner of her undergraduate journey — graduating this May with a dual degree: a BFA in Dance and a BA in East Asian Studies with a specialization in Japanese language.
Whether performing legacy works by Martha Graham, Alvin Ailey, and Bob Fosse on stages from Tucson’s Stevie Eller Dance Theatre to The Joyce Theatre in New York City, mentoring the next generation of dancers at Danswest Dance Studio, or traveling to China and Japan as a Medici Scholar, Margo approached it all with discipline, artistry, and purpose.
“The countless hours of hard work that go into a performance season, and the electric feeling of it all paying off under the lights next to great friends, is something I will continue to reminisce on long after graduation,” she said.
🎓 Congratulations, Margo!
Celebrate with us May 17 at 2p at Centennial Hall for the CFA Graduation Convocation.

In honor of the last day of high school, I am so incredibly blessed to announce that I am committed to the University of Arizona to dance this coming school year! I will be furthering my education by double majoring in dance and a pre-physical therapy track. @uazdance
I want to thank my friends and family for sacrificing so much to allow me this opportunity, and I want to more importantly give all of the praise and glory to God! Jesus is my rock and foundation for all that I do, and I am so blessed that I get to carry that message into college!
Thank you to every director, dance teacher, and coach that I have had leading up to this moment. Your training has shaped me as a better dancer, but more importantly a better person. Thank you to my home studio @suzannessd and to my high school drill team @collegestation_strutters for paving a path towards a dance career!
For all of my cstat friends- I leave early August. Let's hang out before then 🤗❣️
Undoubtedly the best four years of my life!
I am grateful to share that I will be graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a BFA in Dance and a minor in Business Administration. I couldn’t have completed this degree without the support of my loving family, as well as all of the faculty, mentors, and my friends at @uazdance@uarizona . These four years have brought some of the wildest and most unforgettable memories that I will always cherish and hold close to my heart.
Bear Down forever! ❤️💙🐻
Last chance to see Seeking Serenity at Aureate Echoes is tonight 7pm✨
Created by MFA choreographer Feather Weldon, Seeking Serenity explores faith, healing, and finding light through contemporary ballet, film, and immersive visual design.
I am happy to announce that this fall I will be attending the University of Arizona and pursing my dream of earning a BFA in dance.
None of this would have been possible without the unwavering love and support of my parents, family, and dance teachers.
My parents @mrsashhleyj & @dj_jimi have sacrificed so much to help me chase my dreams, always believing in me even during moments when I doubted myself.
I also want to thank every dance teacher who has been a part of my journey, especially @ashlitallo & @kaleighmyree for the guidance, support, and wisdom for making me become the dancer I am today.
To my home studio, @onmovingdancecompany , these memories are some that I will cherish forever.
I would also like thank my family who has always been there for me, cheering me on and giving me words of encouragement.
Being accepted into the University of Arizona feels even more special because I now get to continue this next chapter alongside my older sister, @ray.jamya which makes starting college so much more exciting and meaningful.
I cannot wait to experience everything ahead, grow as an artist, meet new people, and make unforgettable memories while studying dance at the University of Arizona. @uazdance #beardown🐻⬇️🅰️

I couldn't have achieved this accomplishment without my family, friends, and teachers at @danceartscenter . A special thank you to @ally_hauke and @cameronmathe for pushing me to the best of my abilities and making me into the human and dancer I am today.
Another special shout out to @djdavies5 for all the time, energy and years you've poured into me. It means more than you will ever know.
Lastly, thank you to my parents, family and friends for always being my number one fans and supporting me every step of the way.

Experience The Weight of Holding by Bo Brinton, featured in Aureate Echoes at the University of Arizona School of Dance. Performed by eighteen dancers and set to an original score by Alberto Barba, the work explores tenderness, burden, dependency, and release through powerful physical storytelling.
We also want to congratulate Bo on his new appointment as a 2-Year Visiting Assistant Professor at Skidmore College. We are excited to celebrate this next chapter and all that lies ahead. #uazdance #studentsuccess
Except Accept
I present my piece from Student Spotlight: Adventure! This was super challenging to create and live through, it being so personal and vulnerable, but I am so grateful for all the support and feedback I received along the way.
This solo explores the psychological adventure of breaking bad habits and cycles of judgement, and how the process of doing so creates a fear of letting oneself be alone.
Thank you for all the encouragement and help @chiesa_performance_art
