Happy Monday! We joined forces with @csmofficer.artssu to co-host and relaunch Connect To: Check In and it was a success! Artist, Curator and UAL grad @damivaughan joined us last month for our Connect To: Meet Up and we were locked in 📸 Thank you for hosting us and sharing your journey through photography and community stories ☺️ If you missed it, here’s a few of his top tips: 🫸 Push boundaries If your course isn’t making it happen, finds ways to e.g. enquire about free exhibition spaces to showcase your work. Ask the questions to find a make to make it work. 🔨 Work with what you have If you only have a phone. Capture those photos, shoot that film... you don’t need the best equipment, that can come over time. Just go do the thing! 💓 Figure out what you don’t like Try things out and test test test. Find what’s not working for you as a creative output and this will help to find your creative vision/ style/ medium(s). ✈️ Embrace the journey Last year he completed a half marathon. There were runs that were terrible and runs that were exhausting but you have to push through – you’ve got this 😊 When’s the next event? We’re taking a break this month so our next Meet Up is on Thursday 16th April at CSM, Room C202 ✨ We’ll be talking all things fashion, running a business and being inspired by your culture. #linkinbio
