We’re looking for a program intern for @u_questionmark , the participative and freely accessible city program of @le_guess_who , celebrating local and creative communities across the Netherlands.

As an intern, you will have a valuable role within the U? program team and will gain insight into the program department of the entire organization. We also encourage you to put forward your own ideas: creativity and taking initiative are highly valued.

Last month, @subbacultchaaaa , @centraalmuseum and @u_questionmark organized Centraal Laat, an event at Centraal Museum that tied in with Shertise Solano’s exhibition Move You Fool. The exhibition brings art and tarot together in an innovative way. It poses the question: What do you discover when you look at art through tarot? On Thursday, 19 March, U? collaborates with music platform @subbacultchaaaa for Centraal Laat, an event at Utrecht’s Centraal Museum. During Centraal Laat, the museum transforms into a vibrant place for meeting, reflection and inspiration—an event that ties in with the exhibition in the museum. 
𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝘂 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗹 In the exhibition Move You Fool, visual artist @shertise_solano brings art and tarot together in an innovative way. Together with Catrien Schreuder, curator of modern art at Centraal Museum, Solano held several tarot sessions. Their conversations about tarot, art and life form the basis of this exhibition. U? is excited to continue co-creating the festival program. We once again open up space for individuals or collectives who are closely connected to a community to step into a curatorial role. Rather than prior experience, we are looking for a strong motivation to work with and for a community, and a desire to tell and share its stories through art and culture. Catching Cultures Orchestra is a Utrecht-based organization of committed musicians with diverse cultural backgrounds, in particular newcomers, who create high-quality intercultural musical offerings for a diverse audience. In 2025, @devoorkamerproject , a meeting space for newcomers and the local community, presented a program at U? that focused on celebrating creativity, community, and connection. Their program featured a workshop organized by performing artist, cultural practitioner, producer, and artist-in-residence Abdalla Daif (@abdalla_daif1 ). Our residential photographer Rogier Boogaard (@roogboogie ) documented Abdalla during his residency at De Voorkamer. Following the photo series, we talked to Abdalla about his experiences with living and working in Egypt and the Netherlands, about his work that focuses on researching and exploring social and political forms of power and their influence on marginal and neglected events in contemporary life, and, of course, about his residency at De Voorkamer. 📸 Full series: link ⟶ U?’s bio.

Rather than prior experience, we are looking for a strong motivation to work with and for a community, and a desire to tell and share its stories through art and culture. We want to work with (aspiring) curators who are deeply committed to a scene or community (or perhaps multiple communities) based in the Netherlands. We are searching for people with a strong drive to share the story of the community that surrounds them. This can be through music, audio/visual art, poetry, workshops, dinners, or any other discipline or format. As a curator, you’ll receive full artistic autonomy over your program, and we’ll be there to support during this trajectory. From the initial seeds of creativity and brainstorm sessions, to translating ideas and stories to a physical presentation, to collaborating with our production and marketing teams.
