“ESHS x POUSH: Over Ideal Mutant Phenomenon” ARTIST u2p050 @u2p050 u2p050 is a pluridisciplinary art that creates unique artworks at the crossroads of art, philosophy and technology. Through its digital creations, u2p050 experiments and questions our increasingly digitized contemporary world. u2p050 uses experimental technologies in its works. For example, the artists use AI systems, 3D modeling, blockchain, stereoscopic sound and interactive video production software. In diverse forms - installations, texts or audiovisual productions - u2p050 explores a perspective in which the machine is no longer considered a tool to be enslaved, but a lens through which to visualize new worlds. u2p050 exhibited in several major institutions including UCCA Labs and Boxes Art Museum in China, Avant Galerie and FRAC in France, Ludwig Museum in Hungary. u2p050 is the recipient of the French Ministry of Culture’s commission Mondes Nouveaux in 2022. In 2024, u2p050 was invited to create an homage to Vera Molnar’s career in Ludwig Museum in Hungary. 𝘈𝘴𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘋𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 Kinetic Generative sculpture in hommage to @vera_molnar_official presented by @ludwigmuseum and @broichdigitalartfoundation Can't forget the memories and can't thank enough the incredibly talented construction team we worked with Alexis Randon @2000_autres_personnes & Benjamin Desmazes & @niels_k.h & Nicolas Michot & Abdel Rabah One year ago exactly, the result of our collaboration was displayed as part of the group exhibition A la Recherche de Vera Molnar curated by Richard Castelli & Szofia Mate. With our homage, we built a sculpture to explore the visual and sonic combinatorial possibilities offered by the magic square in a three-dimensional space. 18 speakers and 12 lights are distributed across the generated steel sculpture. Speakers placed inside the metal bars make the structure vibrate according to the generative magic square algorithms. This AI-generated film by u2p050 constructs a synthetic archive of the event, reinterpreting it through artificial intelligence and questioning how AI reshapes our understanding of history and truth. As part of the creative process, the film explores the semantic field of the Capitol attack by analyzing a wide range of sources, including tweets, political speeches, media reports, memes from alt-right organizations, and official documents from the House Select Committee. These diverse elements form a rhizome of prompts that guide the AI in generating an evolving, multi-perspectivist interpretation of the event. By blending facts with speculative elements, the film raises questions such as: What will be the future of our archives? and What does it mean to have generative archives? „Facts as a historical category of truth were mainly constructed by analogue cameras which create traces: there is a physical connection between image and subjects.“ You’re Very Special is currently on tour, and we’d love to share it with you.
