I’ve been working on this Bob Weir tribute for the past week, while the weather in Nashville has been beautiful! I still have one more day to tighten things up, but I’m just sharing the process so far. Thanks to all my friends and strangers who stopped by or turned around to visit while I was working on it! Also, my shop is now live with a bunch of LE merch while supplies last—tees, tanks, pins, stickers, and some OGs.

This year’s Paint Memphis came full circle! Not only were we back off Lamar Ave, where I painted my first Paint Memphis piece, but I also used a photo that my good friend @michaelweintrob took of @thevaleriejune for my reference! Smacked this ~19 x 25’ wall in 5 days.

I’ve been saving all my empty cans from local projects for years. You can’t recycle them in Nashville, so I’ve always held onto them, planning to do something creative with them in the future. I never knew exactly what, but I felt it was a shame to throw them away! Each one is connected to a piece I put a lot of time and energy into—one that hopefully brought joy or inspiration to strangers and friends across Tennessee!
Then, with the last two murals, it hit me. Since these are all cans from projects in TN, and I’ve called this beautiful state home for the last decade, giving them new life in this DBZ x TN mashup I created seemed perfectly appropriate! Each of these upcycled cans is depressurized, wrapped in my custom design, and hand-embellished. So, if you want to take a piece of one of my Tennessee murals home with you, rep some of my art, and support street art, you can snag them on my page. :)

I had jussssst finished the Bob Weir one that week and was trying to complete this before Billy played his first night. However, someone leaked a photo and the location of the piece in a fan group, leading to a ton of people stopping by to see it in person! I didn’t get much work done, but I loved meeting everyone and seeing how much that mural meant to them! Thanks to all the friends and fans who visited my studio, snagged some of my limited-edition designs, and supported street art! :)

45+ hours in 1 min. I freehand spray-painted this Bob Weir Mural on my studio in Nashville, TN. It’s all UV reactive (wait until the end!) I used the lyrics to Terrapin behind Bobby on the left ( from his last show at Golden Gate Park), and lines from The Other One behind young Bob on the right as squiggle grids.
