Wasted Potential Brass Band bringing the energy to the Virginia Highland Porchfest in Atlanta today. So good seeing the streets packed with people, music pouring off the porches, and the whole neighborhood coming alive. 🎺🥁🔥

Another Happy birthday shout out to the incredible David Byrne I shot this photograph during his unforgettable Bonnaroo performance on the 2009. Watching artists like David continue to reinvent themselves year after year is a reminder that creativity has no expiration date.

Happy 90th birthday to the one and only Wavy Gravy aka Hugh Nanton Romney Jr. A true original — activist, clown, storyteller, prankster, and counterculture legend who has spent decades spreading laughter, compassion, and organized chaos in the best possible way. Here’s to 90 years of keeping it weird, conscious, joyful, and beautifully wavy

Yesterday I hosted an event at my studio with Iron Mountain called From Archive to Asset. We talked about archiving, preservation, and the process of revisiting the work I shot on film at the beginning of my career. Seeing so many photographers, artists, and creatives I respect gathered together in my studio meant a lot to me. Grateful for the community and the conversations that came out of it. 📸 @jgnstills

David Byrne and his incredible band performing “Burning Down the House” during the encore at Ascend Amphitheater. Amazing to witness an artist who continues to evolve, create, and push boundaries after all these years. Every musician, singer, and dancer on that stage was absolutely incredible. Nashville got something special tonight. 🔥

James Andrews out front of Inn at the Old Jailhouse during Jazz Fest. One of those classic New Orleans moments you can’t plan for — music, culture, history, and community all colliding in the heart of Treme. Grateful for the hospitality, the music, and the memories made during another unforgettable New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

John Boutté singing “Treme Song” in front of Bywater Bakery. What a fitting end to this Jazz Fest run. Grateful for the music, the people, and this city.

Meters reunion at the Saenger last night in New Orleans. The stage was packed with legends — Zig, Leo, George, Cyril, and Ivan — plus a full horn section and backup singers. Then the finale hit another level with guest sit-ins from Oteil Burbridge, Warren Haynes, Susan Tedeschi, and Derek Trucks. Here’s a little taste of the final song, when everyone came together for “Ain’t No Use.” Only in New Orleans.

Happy Birthday to Col. Bruce Hampton This is an intimate portrait we created together back in 2010. For those of us who were close with him, he had a way of encouraging you— like he was giving you permission to be yourself. No expectations. No judgment. Just truth. RIP Colonel.
