A project by community for community. Yokchi Chang of @iykykhifi and curator Emily Thurman @emthurman host a seasonal hi-fi listening journey starting on winter solstice as we travel back towards the sun to the spring equinox. These sessions feature full album discovery, and unreleased music in collaboration with many musicians around the world.
Our first session December 21 will feature Beirut and Paris based musician @barbelbaber a track of mesmeric reverberated ambient guitar. Along with a full album journey of Endlessness by @nalasinephro
In honor of Winter Solstice @books___and & @emthurman will provide a special candle ceremony, writing prompts and light refreshments as we come together in community to celebrate our journey back to the sun.
The listening sessions will be held in the back room of @books___and starting December 21 from 1-4 pm. Please be prepared to sit until intermissions.
