Pickle Fest 2026 is a wrap! Did you all know there is a whole “space”…a community of pickle lovers? Anna and I saw this in full force while we wrote pickle poems for people bedecked in pickle paraphernalia, munching fried pickles and sipping pickle beer.
We heard tales of pickle fountains, mango pickle drinks, Fruit Rollup-wrapped pickles, killer pickles.
As these poems show, people have a deeeeeeeep passion for pickles.
And pickle people are VERY committed to their favorite and least favorite varieties!
People from all over the country were there. Many said they had their pickle poems from last year framed. 🥹
The most powerful thing to witness was how pickles brought people together. Moms and daughters, best friends, sisters, roommates, in-laws, strangers…even non-participating supporters, all steeped in the brine of a Saturday afternoon full of sunshine, memories, and a little bit of dill.

For the first ever time in worldiverse history, there were two ROAMING typewriter poets at an event! Me and Anna strolled for three hours with mobile typewriter poetry setups and Gabby and Noelia took poem request after poem request, bringing muses to laughter and tears!
What an absolute pleasure to co-create with these talented and badass beings. They are all amazing poets and people and they inspire me on skyscraper level levels.
AND: The mobile typewriter prototype is evolving into its next iteration soon, with me and Anna rolling up our sleeves to make it better and not bigger because it’s currently a real workout!
