@glennwolk here. Oceana Canada asked me to create designs in support of Bill S-238, a referendum to protect sharks from the heinous act of finning. Finning is the practice where fisherman capture a shark, cut off its fins and throw the shark back in the water to drown. The fins are a food delicacy. An astounding 70 million sharks are killed each year by this method. The great news is that the bill passed this year after Oceana's concerted push in Canada. It is now law. Hopefully other countries will follow suit and this dreadful process will be eradicated. The designs were circulated throughout Canadian Parliament and social media.
