We said goodbye to our special guy yesterday. It happened suddenly, but we adopted him knowing he had feline leukemia, which can severely shorten a cat’s life, so we always said we were going to be with him for a good time not a long time. We only had Clover for 3 years, but he was our world. We’ve never encountered such a sweet, enigmatic, perfectly weird, endlessly loving little creature. He loved scratches around his ears, sitting in the window listening to birds, and chasing his soccer balls. He especially loved eating. Beth always said his three main passions in life were breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He always wanted to be near us, preferably on a lap, and we always wanted to be near him.
