Congratulations to @alexisbittar and team on winning a webby! Alexis asked me a few years ago if I wanted to help him make his “mocumentary” style show that pokes at high fashion / high class society in NYC featuring the talented @patriciablack@juliej.nyc
and countless New York City cameos. I had never shot comedy or anything of this style but always loved shows/films like The Office and Best in Show. No lighting teams, no sound operators, just a few people making it all work. Sometimes it’s refreshing to not let all the gear get in the way and give the actors more freedom to try different things and not be afraid to “miss their mark.” Thank you Alexis and all the amazing people over the years I’ve been able to work with for trusting me. A little visual diary from an adventure my brother and I went on back in December. No cell service or other cars besides the small crew we were with for days. Removed from the media hysteria of what seems like the falling of civilization. We followed old mining roads that we had no idea where we would end up. We would talk about how easy we have it compared to how people used to make a living to survive. Old petroglyphs from native Americans would be in certain areas where they hunted and had encounters with the developing west. It felt like time in this place stood still and the rest of the world has changed around it. Thank you to my brother and @fourpointsadventures for a trip of a lifetime.
