I am so very proud to announce that a week from today, on May 17, 2024 I will be graduating from THE LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY with my Bachelor of Architecture degree and dual minors in Art & Architectural History!
It has been a long winding road of learning, living, crying, passing, failing, etc. As tough as it was I’m incredibly thankful for all the people I met along the way, all the experiences I had and was able to learn from. I’m grateful for the community I had backing me, supporting me, and encouraging me to keep going along the way. This has probably been the hardest 6 years of my life. For a while now I’ve been seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and I’m so so soooo excited and happy to finally get to touch and feel that light. I came to LSU a girl and I will be leaving a woman. This time next week I will have walked across the stage happy, healthy, loved, and with that degree in my hand! As a first generation college student I can truly say it is an honor and a privilege to be able to start a new family legacy and to be a guiding voice and shoulder to lean on for those who will embark on this journey after me. I literally burst into tears typing all this 😭😭. This has really been a long time coming and I’m so thrilled to be finally closing this chapter of my life. I can’t wait to see what more the universe has to offer!
