We're quizzing again on Wednesday! I start reading out my tenuously linked questions at 8pm, or at 8.15pm, if everyone decides to turn up at 8pm on the dot.
Come and have a go!
The weather's looking a bit 💩. Rainy days are made for bitters, and this one from @360brewco is a good one. All the plumminess you'd expect from a Sussex Best Bitter, with a smooth bitter finish.
It's gluten free, and vegan, too! A beer for everyone.
Grab your brolly! ☔
Join us this weekend as we pour FOMO, a rare and exceptional release from Little Pomona.
Technically a "faux-pommeau," this 21% ABV warmer is a British homage to the historic French method of mutage. For centuries, makers in Normandy have blended freshly pressed, unfermented apple juice directly with high-proof apple brandy. This instantly halts fermentation, preserving the rich, natural sugars of the apples while integrating the deep complexity of the spirit.
To craft their version, Little Pomona blended freshly pressed 2023 juice, featuring traditional varieties like Kingston Black, Ellis Bitter, and Stoke Red, with a bespoke eau de vie distilled from Bramley cider and greengages. The blend was then rested in a German chestnut barrel for a year, creating a delicately perfumed drink that perfectly bridges the gap between sweet cider and fine spirit.
Enjoying drinks like FOMO goes far beyond what is in the glass; it is about championing the British agricultural landscape. Historic cider apples are notoriously difficult to grow and unsuitable for eating, but they hold the soul of real British cider. By supporting independent producers who pay a fair premium for these rare varieties, we ensure farmers can afford to keep their ancient orchards in the ground. This protects vital rural biodiversity and preserves a centuries-old cider-making heritage.
Come down this weekend to taste a masterpiece of modern British cidermaking and raise a glass to our traditional orchards.
From a Boots homebrew kit in a tumble-dryer-warmed garage to winning Brewer of the Year...
On Thursday, May 28th, we are beyond excited to welcome Andy Parker from Elusive Brewing for a very special Meet the Brewer and Tap Takeover!
Elusive is celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year, and their story hits incredibly close to home for us. Just like Two Trees, Elusive was born out of a pure, unadulterated passion for craft + cask beer; taking that massive leap from enthusiastic homebrewing to opening up shop and pouring pints for the community.
Andy (officially, the nicest man in beer) is a true champion of the independent beer scene, and we couldn't think of a better brewery to host.
Come down, grab a pint, and hear the stories behind some of the best beers in the UK. The tap takeover runs all weekend, but you won't want to miss Andy on Thursday night!
We're still confirming the time that Andy will be here with us, but watch this space.

A creative collab between two recent additions to the Scottish brewing scene. @otherworldbrewing and @stfermentations are two breweries doing very exciting things in keg, and more importantly, in cask, too. We've had quite a few beers from both of these great breweries, and will promise you there's more to come!
Onto the beer! Tuesday's Mild is a complex reimagining of the British Mild ale. Otherworld + STF have used cherrywood smoked malt to deliver a deep, savoury smokiness with a fruity edge. Cocoa husks add a delicate layer of chocolate to the malt profile. Finished off with the addition of HBC630 hops, which provide a slight red fruit aroma to balance the the rich smokiness in this complex cask session ale.
It's also vegan friendly.
We had a fantastic, busy Saturday at the pub; to keep the good times rolling, we have two brand new additions from Howling Hops fresh on the handpumps today!
Howling Hops have embraced tradition with London Best; this dark sessionable 3.9% best bitter rolls gently with nutty biscuit and roasted coffee notes. Brewed with Fuggles and Challenger hops, it offers a soft and toasty finish that remains balanced and timeless through every sip. It is a quintessential pint for those who appreciate a smooth and straightforward British classic; it is also completely vegan friendly and gluten free.
Bringing a modern energy to the bar, Party Wave is a clean and delicate 4.5% West Coast pale ale that balances bold hop character with a crisp finish. This is bright and refreshing; it delivers punchy citrus and tropical fruit notes alongside a classic hoppy bitterness that remains remarkably sessionable. It is a velvety and easy drinking session ale that welcomes everyone to the party; it is also verified as both vegan friendly and gluten free.

More mild for @campaignforrealale 's Mild in May. This one is a sessionable 3.4% dark mild from @downlandsbrewery and @elusivebrew .
Smooth, dark malts with a savoury, roasted character and subtle flavours of fresh blackcurrants and sweet raisins. The finish is clean and sessionable with a light, soft sweetness; it is a straightforward and balanced take on a traditional style.

COYH! 🐝
This Friday we are pouring Coastal Highway, a 7% West Coast IPA from @burntmillbrewery .
This is a collaboration with Jeff Bagby, a San Diego brewer who was instrumental in the early days of Stone and Pizza Port. He is one of the most respected figures in American brewing, known for his technical skill and dozens of awards at the World Beer Cup.
The beer is a traditional West Coast IPA, using a blend of classic hops including Chinook and Simcoe. It has a resinous, citrusy profile and a balanced bitterness. Jeff is visiting London this week, and we are one of the venues selected to pour this batch. It will be on draught from opening on Friday.
