two-fold inserts curved white volumes into a former concrete warehouse in seoul’s seongsu district for uvu’s first flagship. spanning two levels and approximately 400 square metres, the project reuses the existing structure without concealing its imperfections. the ground floor operates as an open exhibition space, designed to host ongoing collaborations. upstairs, smooth volumes move through the rigid concrete frame, establishing a precise contrast between crafted surfaces and the raw permanence of the original fabric. a continuous curved wall organizes the plan without enclosing it, maintaining spatial continuity. lighting reinforces this relationship, tracing both the intervention and the underlying structure. the project defines a clear spatial language through contrast, where new and existing remain legible within the same system.

UVU SEOUL FLAGSHIP STORE: Curved white forms weave through and between rigid elements of the existing structure, creating a dialogue between crafted refinement and raw permanence. The intervention does not attempt to transform the building, but instead coexists within it.
