I don't know why I didn't post about this when it happened, but here are some pictures from this last fall. These are of art produced by this amazing guy in the middle of nowhere, on the road between the very excellent Jim Thorpe Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh. The first time I saw his art was over ten years ago, and I literally screamed when Matthew and I drove past it again, and made him get out to go look at it. We found the artist, who is this neat old dude making art for the hell of it out in the woods, and chatted with him for a while, and then got back in the car and came home. The saga of one of my favorite sweaters. Two years ago, I started challenging myself to buy #nonewclothes for a year. I excluded socks, underwear, and if I needed a bathing suit, I could buy that. I caved once, and bought myself this @patagonia sweater. It's made of pre-consumer recycled cashmere, it's unbelievably comfortable, and I couldn't resist. Swipe to see the hole I put in the elbow, almost certainly roller skating, but I can't remember for sure. Anyway, I decided that the color was a bit light for me, and thought it was time for a change, so I dyed it brown, and then knitted a patch for the elbow. Patagonia has a repair system in place, but once I dyed it, I figured it would probably be easier, and I would like the results more if I just did some #visiblemending myself. Matthew had the day off today, so we went sledding in Riverview Park before the snow melts. The sled was a Christmas present to the family in the year of our Lord nineteen hundred and ninety one or two, which makes it old enough to vote, drink, and rent a car! Ok guys. I haven't posted any skate shit in a while, firstly because I haven't bothered to film any skate shit in a while, but also because I haven't landed anything I'm like... Super proud of in a while. I dunno if I'm being too hard on myself, or if I'm just in a phase where I'm developing stuff, but not progressing in any great leaps. I feel like I'm learning and growing, but it's very incremental. Eh. @zorra_skates thinks this is awesome, so I'll listen to her.
