Studio visits always give me perspective and insight and they are a lot of fun 🤍 This is me, Yez Tutic, in my studio in Brooklyn, NY. Sometimes I’m here, sometimes I’m on a set building and painting, sometimes I’m on a museum hanging a show, sometimes I’m on a lift painting a mural, sometimes I’m helping other artists, but wherever I am, I’m always PRESENT doing what I love. What’s funny about this picture is that the painting in the back has been changing so much since then….I can’t wait to share. A veces estoy acá, a veces estoy en un set construyendo y pintando, a veces estoy en un museo montando una exposición, a veces estoy en una grúa pintando un mural, a veces estoy ayudando a otros artistas… pero esté donde esté, siempre estoy PRESENTE haciendo lo que amo. Lo gracioso de esta foto es que la pintura que aparece atrás ha cambiado muchísimo desde entonces… No puedo esperar para compartirla.

Sometimes I do this before going to work :) and my day is much MUCH better 🤍 I feel a little behind sharing my work and all the projects I Have been working on but I guess slowly I’ll be sharing more and more… This is a painting I have been working on for couple of weeks and it’s keeping me motivated and busy. This is one of the things I do with my work. Not all of my painting are being rotated during the painting process, but a lot of them are. I felt that this one in particular needed that 180 change of direction. Sometimes that’s all we need, to do a 180 change to be able to go even stronger towards where your heart is trying to take you. MI BUENOS AIRES QUERIDO 🇦🇷 First time doing Fileteo porteño 🤍 Sign painting is such a difficult and detail oriented process but I absolute loved doing it. Usually the colors used for fileteo are more bold and strong but I decided to used my own color palette for this one. Fileteo porteño is a traditional sign painting style from Buenos Aires, recognized by UNESCO @unesco as Intangible Cultural Heritage. MI BUENOS AIRES QUERIDO 🇦🇷 Primera vez haciendo fileteo porteño 🤍 La pintura de carteles es un proceso muy complejo y lleno de detalles, pero lo disfruté muchísimo, tanto el proceso como el resultado final. Tradicionalmente, el fileteo porteño se trabaja con colores fuertes y vibrantes, pero para esta pieza elegí usar mi propia paleta y llevar mi lenguaje personal a esta técnica tan clásica. El fileteo porteño es un estilo tradicional de Buenos Aires, reconocido por la UNESCO @unesco como Patrimonio Cultural Inmaterial de la Humanidad. Con mucho amor, Yez @tutic.studio

I drew and hand-painted this motorcycle helmet as a custom piece for an incoming cosmetics and skincare project. I’m keeping the brand under the wraps for now- but excited to share the process.
