Tomorrow 🫡 “How do I get involved?” I hear you ask. You turn up. That’s it! We live in a time where people are constantly being told what not to do. Don’t go here. Don’t hang around there. Don’t do this. Don’t do that. And whilst many of those conversations matter, very few people are creating genuine alternatives. 100,000 push-ups in the middle of Brixton 🔥🤌 No tickets. No sign up. No real barrier to entry other than deciding to get involved and chip in. That’s what I like about this. A public square, a shared goal, and people contributing whatever they can. Some will do five. Some will do many times that! Some will stop, watch for a minute, then end up joining in themselves. Remember, it’s the pursuit of a common goal that brings people together. Last week at the House of Lords for the APPG on Sport & Physical Activity in the Criminal Justice System. A lot of the conversation centred around what happens through the gate and how sport can play a real role in that transition back into the community. You could feel how much more there is to do in this space, but also how much potential there is when things start to connect properly. Was there with @resilient.lion a natural extension of the work we’re doing together. There’s a shared understanding in how we see the work and the role it can play, and it’s clear there’s strength in building more together. Came away genuinely excited. We’re going to be doing more side by side, there are some big plans in motion, and it feels like the kind of collaboration that can genuinely move things fwds in a meaningful way. Legacy Unity Cup at Merky FC, in remembrance of Stephen Lawrence. Loads of good people in one space, young people getting involved without needing to be pushed, conversations happening naturally. We switched the crossbar challenge last minute and ran it on the Gravity Fitness pull-up rack instead. Max reps, dead hangs, people kept stepping up. That was the tone of the whole day. Still feeling Saturday if I’m honest. Legacy Unity Cup 2026 at Merky FC. Held in remembrance of Stephen Lawrence 🙏 From the moment the day kicked off, you could tell it was one of those. Energy was right, conversations happening everywhere you looked. No forcing it, just a proper coming together of people committed to progressive change. Big respect to @resilient.lion and everyone who played a part @freedomthroughfitness_ @artnotevidence @houseofvox @maryscharityyouthwork @jfjfoundation @zf.legalconsultancy @majesticcareservices_cic Care Services and of course @sldayfdn 💯🫡 We had to pivot the crossbar challenge last minute, so brought out the @gravity.fitness Fitness pull up rack… and it turned into its own thing.
