Two marathons. Two weeks. One injured body.
I went from Paris Marathon to London Marathon not knowing if Iād even make it to the finish line⦠but I did.
It wasnāt pretty. It hurt. A lot.
But seeing so many of you inspired, running, starting your own journeys⦠that carried me through more than anything.
And to everyone who actually came out to cheer for me⦠thank you. I needed that more than you know. Those moments gave me the push to keep going when it got really tough.
Thank you for every message, every cheer, every bit of support š¤
Thank you to @shokzuk for the spot in the race and making my #YvesChasingStars journey happen.
Thank you to @fit2functionclinics for putting my body back together so I can push myself harder as ever.
Thank you to @getgayns for being there for me. For coming out and cheering. It was emotional but gave me a boost to push through it.
Iām tired, emotional, and honestly still processing it allā¦
but if this is whatās possible while injuredā¦
whatās next.
I went. I ran. I cried.
Nothing about today was easy. The injury slowed me down, tested me, and pushed me to places I didnāt expect. But I had one goal⦠to finish. And I did.
This was more than a race. It was a deeply emotional journey, one Iām still trying to process. Right now, Iām overwhelmed in the best and hardest way all at once.
Merci to Astrid and Troy for showing up and cheering me on when I needed it most š¤
And to my @getgayns community⦠I truly wouldnāt be here without you. You carried me through every step of this.
Grateful to @kiprun for supporting me with race day kit and being part of this journey.
Some snaps from a day Iāll never forget.
London in two weeks. Letās go. š

Yves was referred to our bariatric and gastroenterology team by his GP after struggling with his weight since facing a series of health difficulties ā including a cancer diagnosis ā from 2019.
He has become the first patient at St Maryās Hospital to receive an āEndoscopic Sleeve Gastroplastyā (ESG) - a new, minimally invasive treatment option to patients with obesity. ESG involves passing a flexible tube (endoscope) into the patientās mouth and to their stomach where a tiny suturing device stitches together parts of the stomach to reduce its size. This creates a sense of fullness and reduces the amount of food that can be eaten at one time.Ā
Ā
@imperialnhs is one of the first NHS trusts in London, and one of just 11 across the country, to offer this treatment. Yves shared with us, āIām starting to feel much more like myself again. Iām regaining control over my life and looking forward to being back in the gym and maintaining a healthy weight, as guided by my doctors.ā

Two years ago, I was given something I desperately needed:a reset.
Not only physically, but mentally too.
After sepsis, cancer treatment, lockdown, and gaining nearly 70kg, I felt disconnected from myself. Like life had paused while the world kept moving.
Choosing to undergo ESG changed more than my body.
It gave me the opportunity to start again.A blank page.A new chapter.A chance to rebuild the person I wanted to become.
Piece by piece, life started coming back.
I qualified as a Personal Trainer. Then as an Indoor Cycling Instructor. And now, as a Reformer Pilates Coach.
Somewhere between the early mornings, the difficult workouts, the self-doubt, and the marathon finish lines, I stopped trying to survive and started building a future again.
Not a perfect future. But one filled with bigger dreams, purpose, movement, community, and belief in myself.
Two years later, and Iām still becoming.
And honestly? That may be the most beautiful part of all.
AD | Yesterday was a love letter to London.
When youāve lived in a city for years, itās easy to stop noticing its magic.
So I escaped for the afternoon, boarded the @thamesclippers , and drifted through the city past postcard views and familiar landmarks. Battersea Power Station, Millbank, Westminster Palace, Big Ben, London Eye, Victoria Embarkment, City of London, Tate Modern, Tower Bridge and Tower of London; truly proper date with the city I felt in love with. I stepped off near the Tower of London for a quiet wander, before ending the day with an indulgent afternoon tea at @coco_restaurants . Delicious classics of savoury and sweet with great tea. Canāt go more British than that.
And somewhere between the river and the skyline, I fell in love with London all over again.

Hydration is not a race morning panic job.
Iām aiming for 3L+ an everyday for at least a week before race day, taken in small sips, often, with electrolytes when needed.
Research supports starting exercise already hydrated, not trying to fix it all at the last minute.
Small sips. Consistency over chaos. Race day is built before race day.
I saw @laxbriann post popping up so his face as inspo 𤣠when drawing.
