The past two years have been significant and life changing in so many ways; transitioning from one side of the country to another, from one stage of my career to another, and from one stage of life to another. I have felt these shifts so strongly and have welcomed them, knowing that they are divine placement and replacement.

I was first baptized when I was a child and have been wanting to get baptized as an adult because I recognize that it solidifies my choice to follow Jesus. Not because of my upbringing or because of any pressure or obligation, but because I can clearly see God’s hand of protection, provision, and purpose on my life.
💦
Today, @toureroberts spoke about BOLDNESS as we prepared to be baptized, and that message resonates so deeply within me. I recognize that much of my life has been lived from a place of boldness, but there’s much bigger and better on my journey that will require an even BOLDER level of FAITH than what I’ve ever had.

To be honest, I can see that some of my boldness in the past was from a place of naïveté. I just didn’t know what I didn’t know. 😂 But it can be harder to be bold when you know that what’s ahead of you confronts and defeats many. WHEW!!

I am determined to JOURNEY BOLDER. Not because of anything that I have or am, but because of everything that God is and everything that Jesus took and claimed for me already!

Many thanks to my lovely friend @laffcherry for helping me navigate the bus terminal and seeing me off!
So many highlights on this adventure! I laid eyes on Lake Bosomtwe and visited Manhyia Palace again. I’d forgotten about the peacocks on the property! The consistent kindness and assistance of strangers continues to humble me. Most notably, the taxi driver who, after navigating a very long and bumpy road to Lake Bosomtwe simply told me “I will wait for you”. And waited. For several hours. 🙏🏾
Meeting the current Queen Mother of Ejisu, Yaa Asantewaa II, was a huge highlight for me. Ghana continues to fasten itself deeper into my heart.

Wandering through the souk in Marrakech, I took a seat to gather my bearings, looked up, and saw this sign. Well, of course I had to go in. I found the most amazing shop full of eclectic fashions; jackets, hats, trousers, accessories, etc, etc, etc. But the COATS caught my eye! They were all so beautifully designed and I couldn’t resist playing dress-up with @funkyfahd . We had a time! 🤣 I didn’t buy the coat immediately. But the next morning I woke up, and it was still on my mind, so I made a bee-line through the winding paths of the souks, once again, saw some ladies eyeing what I had already decided was MY coat (the nerve🙄), and did what was necessary. What a find!
The world is wacky and many would have us fear those we don’t know in places we’ve never been. Don’t let them win!

Kilimanjaro challenged me in ways that I still can’t fully articulate. Getting to this point was…astoundingly difficult. The breathlessness you hear in the video was real. But seeing the sunrise over Mawenzie Peak after multiple (MULTIPLE) hours of hiking in the dark and the cold gave me a little extra push to get to Uhuru Peak. As always, I’m so thankful for @kiliafricatours , @fredrickisuja , and my entire team of porters who literally pushed me to the top.
