Capturing a wonderous lighting tribute on the external façade of Brazil’s Copacabana Palace, A Belmond Hotel, in celebration of its rich legacy ✨ The luxurious hotel resort in Rio de Janeiro honoured their momentous centenary year by tasking the visionary LD Studio, in collaboration with LED specialists TRYKA and our talented team at ECS to transform the hotel’s exterior into a mesmerising spectacle. This fitting tribute offers a unique experience, fulfilling a brief to fully encapsulate the history of this outstanding landmark 🏨 This modern lighting design, powered by cutting-edge DMX control and the LPC 2 from Pharos Architectural Controls Ltd, creates a dynamic, evolving masterpiece. From vibrant hues to ever-changing themes, the façade becomes an adaptable canvas, reflecting the hotel’s unique spirit for any occasion—whether it’s Carnival, Christmas, or beyond. TRYKA products continue to be specified for a wealth of pixel-controllable projects,so we thought we’d start our week with a throwback to the stunning facades of the Algeria Gulf Bank Headquarters in Algiers, Algeria. SSH Architectural and Engineering consultants were appointed to supervise the design and construction of this twin 16-storey, 110M tall building, following a sustainable design philosophy and incorporating energy savings and the use of environmentally friendly materials. TRYKA worked with local distributor Debbas Group to deliver the stunning RGBW pixel facade utilising our 5.8W Midi Nodes for the curved facade, and our Linear Pixel within a slotted flat facade, controlled via a Pharos Architectural Controls Ltd system. The TRYKA pixels are a 16bit pixel, enabling ultra smooth dimming, deeply saturated colours and accurate colour mixing. The system is operated using TRYKA ARTNET controllers and Debbas developed a constant monitoring system to ping devices and ensure any system failures are reported and maintenance can be implemented accordingly. BESPOKE LIGHTING BY TRYKA… We’ve proudly delivered these custom designed hoop pendants for the newly opened Co-Op Live Arena in Manchester. Designed and Manufactured in the heart of Hertfordshire, UK. These suspended rings were custom made to bespoke sizes and were delivered in modular sections to enable them to wrap the columns, whilst delivering an uninterrupted ring of RGBW lighting for our client. The CIROC Vodka Lounge hosts up to 54 guests for events, providing a private terrace area with unparallelled views of the stage.
