I for one am parched for proper homegrown storytelling and cinema of this calibre.
I was lucky enough to see an advanced screening of Warwick Thornton’s latest cinematic offering @wolframfilm
The Q&A with Warwick and one of this country’s finest, Deb Mailman was an inspiration.
Wolfram is a sequential story to Warwick’s masterpiece Sweet Country. If you’re familiar with Sweet Country, you’ll know how horrifically stunning and powerfully confronting and revelatory it is.
Naturally it was not without some trepidation that I returned to that world.
However, in Wolfram, Warwick (in his own words) has after nearly 10 years given us an antidote to Sweet Country. A story of hope, of redemption, of new beginnings.
If like me, you absolutely love Warwick’s cinematography, I highly recommend seeing this film in the full glory of the cinema.
Wolfram will be released nationwide on April 30th.
