I had a lot of fun playing around with vellum to add life to this basic mixamo walk cycle thanks to @tokymegz tutorials!

That last heat wave had me wishing there were more of these around.
I really enjoy LA but it is a bummer to commute across tree-less stretches of road where the sun just cooks you.
I shot this when it was 104F outside and a couple streets over under tree coverage it felt at least 10 degrees cooler.
After reading a very enlighting article “Shade” by Sam Bloch for @places_journal , I can’t help but notice all of these baron concrete city blocks and the importance of shade as a resource.
As for the vfx side of this, I would have had absolutely no idea how to achieve this tree growth effect without @markfancherfx amazing course he did with @houdini.school .
Still have a ways to go with compositing, camera tracking, materials, and art direction on the tree but very happy with how this turned out!

I have been gaining more appreciation for photography lately. I found my dad's old 35mm #yashika camera and decided to start shooting film. This is from one of my first couple of rolls shot on a much needed surf trip to San Diego a month ago. I shot this on my first roll of #fujipro400h and am in love with the color/texture.
