Of course I’m proud of her driving and the result—but the lesser-known story here is her ability to control her emotions and compartmentalize to stay focused on the goal.
Since we started using the PCI radio cable, I’ve been able to watch and hear her in the car. About a year ago, it was common to see her get overwhelmed—whether she was pumped from a great move or upset over a mistake. That emotion would often spiral and lead to more mistakes mid-race.
So for the past year, we’ve worked hardest on helping her manage that—learning to stay steady and hold it together until after the checkered flag.
What you see here is a raw emotional release. She was cool as a cucumber all race, then let it all out at exactly the right moment.
I’m incredibly proud of you, Valle. I won’t pretend to speak for all women drivers—or to fully understand them—but I do know we’ve seen massive growth in how you handle the emotional side of racing.
Good job, kid. You did it perfectly.
