Needed one more like her last weekend to take home the DUB on Lake Travis but it wasn’t in the cards ♠️♥️♣️♦️. Grateful to have had the family there for the weigh in! On to the next one! 🎣
The simple little punch rig will keep you super efficient when you are first learning to flip bushes.
It shows the fish a bigger profile than traditional Texas Rigs that other angers are flipping. It also keeps your hook hidden into your bait so you don’t have to worry about as many snags.
Give this little rig a try if you are out flipping some bushes I think you will find it will give you some success. 🎣
Yall maybe having a bad bad, but I’m not. I got to jerk 40 ish bass out of the bushes today. I didn’t say they were big ones I’m just saying I had a lot of fun so let me be. 😂
If you’re looking for a setup that is always a go to for me when the water gets high here ya go 👇🎣

When I like to throw a straight shank Trokar Tk130 vs their Tk125 Ewg. 👇
When I’m up shallow, flipping around heavy wood cover or in the bushes, I’m reaching for the Trokar TK130 flipping hook. It’s built for those precise flips into cover, hop the lure a couple times, bring it back, and repeat. The flipping hook excels where you need strength and a concealed profile to pull fish out of gnarly spots.
Now, when I’m casting out on a point or dragging deeper brush piles fishing a worm or a longer bait like a Brush Hog I’m switching to an EWG. The TK125 gives me a streamlined presentation, better for dragging bottom and still has a bait keeper to ensure my lures doesn’t fall down the shank of the hook. It’s all about the scenario, up shallow in heavy cover, Trokar TK130. Out deeper, dragging structure, Trokar TK125. Either way, these @trokarhooks hooks will help you put more fish in the boat.
A recipe for success, the @trokarhooks TK137 Neko and @eagleclawfishing Pagoda Tungsten weights! The pagoda weight are KEY being a shorter fatter weight they fit perfectly in urchin-style baits.
