The 1000 (stone) steps hike, a short drive away from @siege.house 🥾It was my first time doing it in winter and it was definitely wetter and slippier than the summer version 🥶❄️ Still stunning views, which cleared up by the time we reached the top, just below the 1000m mark, but we still at a beautiful peek at the Pyrenees 🗻#occitannie #hautparcdulanguedoc #tourism #hike

It is not always easy to follow on a construction project from afar, living in Germany, Siège in Olargues, but working with amazing contractors, architects, and family makes this process so much smoother! We can’t wait to be back on site for the festive season, and will be sharing some more insights and sneak peeks 🎄👀

Its post-war rebuilding in concrete turned the city itself into a kind of modern/ contemporary fortress. Today, strategic invisibility persists: in publicly accessible maps, the heart of Brest is blurred, hidden from view for military reasons. Dyachenko responds to this opacity by opposing the inaccessible satellite gaze from above with the open, unregulated gaze from below. In her work, the sky emerges as both a contested infrastructure and a space of possibility.

The first Egg show in months – Tristan and Seb are back, and Tristan is joined in the booth by Yannick for some extra French goodness. We’ve gone back to the oldschool so there is no tracklist this month, as the tracks were played depending on the vibe and what we wanted to put on next. Tune-in via the link at our bio ⚙️ Thank you to @cashmere_radio for hosting us 🫶🏻

The funny thing about life is that it sometimes does really come to a full, perfect circle. In spring 2022 I received a phone call by Iragaël who was then running the Documents d'Artistes program in France. She was inviting me to come take part on a series of studio visits between Marseille and Toulouse. I said yes, and this is how I met Ben Saint-Maxent and his. Ben and I also became friends, we started to work together, from radio sessions, music festivals and residencies to 'Cette mer qui nous entoure', a travelling exhibition. The funny thing about the full circle story, is that Ben's work is now installed more or less right above the office where Iragaëlle used to work, and who initiated my shared narrative with Ben, and here we are, 3 years later. Cette mer qui nous entoure is on view at Passerelle Centre d'Art until Jan. 3, 2026 in Brest, France. With works by Hoël Duret, Marta Dyachenko, Lena Henke, Ben Saint Maxent, Wie-yi T. Lauw, Sophie T. Lvoff. I had the pleasure of co-curating this exhibition with Marlene A. Schenk and Loïc Le Gall. A big thank you goes out to the whole production team on site and also to the Institut Français and the Goethe Institut for financing this project. © 2025, Passerelle Centre d'art contemporain, Brest - photo: Aurélien Mole @cacpasserelle @reseaudocumentsdartistes @if_officiel @goetheinstitut
