Meet Coach Juriga! After growing up in upstate NY, he went to LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. There, he was a 2 time All-American and 3 time NCAA Division II National Champion. He was also one of 40 players named to the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Scholar All-America team and served on the NCAA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for four years.
Today, he resides in Southport, CT with his wife Katie and their three children, Joey, Amelia and Ryan. Fun fact, he is also a board-certified podiatric surgeon based in Stamford, CT. He has always had a passion for human anatomy, physiology and biomechanics. As a physician, he diagnoses and treats various foot and ankle injuries. As a coach, he brings that same knowledge base blended with his lacrosse background focusing on proper mechanics and technique - which thereby translates to injury prevention and maximizing performance. One of his main focuses will always be on mastering the fundamentals, hustle, and having fun - all while building confident, smart players every step of the way. Welcome to the TD family Coach Juriga! Fav color: Red
Fav snack/treat: Sour Patch Kids
Fav activity: I am always on the move working on some project around the house which usually involves carpentry or woodworking.
Advice to new laxers: Let your stick be an extension of you. Walk around the house cradling, bring it everywhere possible with you, even sleep with it! Do this enough and having a stick in your hands will become second nature - that’s when lacrosse REALLY becomes fun!!
Why I love coaching: I love giving back to a game that has given me so much through my life.
Congrats to Coach Vin’s squad for defeating Coach Keyes’ squad in the Zero Gravity Championship this weekend! A GREAT Showing for Triple Double to get two teams in the finals! #ctbb #fairfieldct
Day 1 of Multi Sport Spring Break Camp was a blast!!! So excited for more campers that are joining us today!! Let’s enjoy the sunshine and get our bodies moving!!! #stayactive #multisport Around today or tomorrow and want to get your kiddo outside and moving, you can still sign up!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve received messages from many of you that truly stopped us in our tracks. Hearing how this program has impacted your children—not just as athletes, but as people—means everything to us. These are just a few of many!!! Keep all the feedback coming:)
At Triple Double, our mission has always been bigger than the game. We are here to develop confident, resilient, hard-working young athletes who believe in themselves and in each other. The wins, the made baskets and goals, the competition—those are all part of the journey. But what matters most is the character being built along the way. #makeanimpact
Creating an environment where athletes feel supported, challenged, and genuinely cared for is at the core of who we are. Whether it’s helping a player find their confidence, pushing them to work harder than they thought possible, or simply making them feel like they belong—we take that responsibility to heart every single day.
To our incredible parents—thank you for trusting us with your children. Thank you for seeing and believing in what we’re building. Your support, your messages, and your belief in this community fuel everything we do.
We are so proud of what this program has become—not just a team, but a family.
We can’t wait for all the memories, growth, and adventures still to come.
— The Triple Double Team
Meet Coach Cori! We are so excited to have her as an addition to our Triple Double family! Cori Chila is a former Division I women’s lacrosse player at Sacred Heart University, where she played attack and helped lead her team to three consecutive NEC Championships (2008, 2009, 2010). She was known for her ability to perform in high-pressure moments, she recorded a four-goal performance and scored the game-winning goal in the 2010 regular season title clincher. She was also named to the NEC All-Tournament Team.
Cori grew up in South Windsor, Connecticut, where she was a three-sport athlete. She later spent many years as a third grade teacher in New Canaan before choosing to stay home with her daughters.
She now lives in Fairfield, Connecticut with her husband and their two daughters, ages 5 and 2. Today, Cori continues to follow her passion for teaching and coaching, helping children build confidence, skills, and a love learning. Fav color: blue & green
Fav snack/treat: ice cream!
Fav activity: pilates, yoga, strength training, hiking, & being outside with my kids
Advice to new laxers: Have fun! Be curious, be brave, and try new things. Mistakes are part of learning—keep going and grow from them.
Why do I love coaching: I love helping kids learn the game while building self-esteem, confidence and teamwork. Sports support physical, social, and emotional growth, and I hope to create a positive, inclusive space where every player feels safe to try, improve, and belong. Being a supportive role model, especially for young girls, including my daughters Sammie and Sage, means a lot to me.
