Geno Auriemma is extending his impact on the game beyond coaching, investing in and advising 360Hoops, a new three-basket format designed to increase player engagement and decision-making.
360Hoops reimagines the traditional structure of basketball by introducing three hoops within a single playing space, creating more continuous action, more touches, and more opportunities for players to read and react in real time. Its flagship product, 360Flex, is a portable system adjustable from 4.5 to 10 feet, and its 3v3v3 format is played on a circular court where players can attack and defend any of three baskets, removing static positioning and encouraging constant decision making, all built around a simple idea that development happens faster when players are consistently involved.
“Anything that gets players more involved, making decisions and learning through playing, is a positive for the game,” said Auriemma.
The investment reflects a broader interest from Auriemma in supporting new formats that rethink how basketball is played and taught. It also follows his involvement in emerging leagues like Unrivaled, as he continues to back ideas that expand the game beyond its traditional structure.
“We need more ways to keep kids engaged with the game. 360 Hoops meets players where they are while still respecting basketball’s fundamentals.”
