Dear LSU, My sweet Louisiana State University, you will forever hold a place in my heart and thank you for all that you’ve done for me. You took a young girl from Philadelphia and turned her into a woman. Before I up and moved down to Louisiana not knowing a soul or ever visiting (I know crazy lol) I knew that this school would somehow change me. From the bonds I’ve made here, amazing people I’ve encountered, SOME good food (not better than back home though) lol, and phenomenal experiences that I’ve had down here has help create this version of the woman that I am today. While attending this university, I’ve lost 2 of the closest people to me as well as faced multiple trials and tribulations while attending. However, I didn’t allow that to stop me from pursuing my degree and making my family proud. To My Parents, My Village, Grandma, Pops, and Jaden, this one is for you. To everyone that has helped me in this journey along the way, I thank you because lord knows where I would be! This chapter of my life is coming to an end and I’m super bittersweet about it. I’m not only gonna miss this school but this state so much, it’s become a home away from home. I’m blessed to say on May 19th I will be graduating from THE Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Mass Communication and a minor in Communication Studies.
