Catching up with @martinsnow at @trinityboxing in NYC is always a fun conversation. We wanted to get Martin’s thoughts on boxing as “the sweet science,” but for him, boxing is more than just a science. To Martin, boxing is a full education—and science is merely one of the subjects taught. Yes, boxing is science, but it’s also art. And for Martin, who grew up attending NYC Jesuit Catholic schools, boxing is religion.
my wife made me smile big today!… made my day by dropping by and visiting my all-time favorite old school NYC boxing gym @trinityboxing and amazing coach, the man & legend @martinsnow 🥊💥 Love It!!!

With all of this talk about World War 3, we decided to pull a page right out of the Jesuit playbook and start our own war right outside the Oculus. The Tug O’ War, invented by Saint Ignatius Loyola as part of his spiritual exercises ‘Get Fit And Get God’ harken back to the days of Iron Men and Wooden Ships. Now that boxing is back at Regis, we’re bringing back Isaac Jogues and fingertip pushups. We don’t need Kumbaya Catholics in this neck of the woods. Gregorian chants are our dance music.
