The Answer received the regular-season MVP award on this day in 2001. This was more than recognition. It was Iverson taking control - carrying everything with him and changing how the game looked in the process. “My dream was bigger than anything else. My fight and me wanting to fulfill what I wanted to be in life - that was enough to keep me strong enough to endure anything. He was six-foot-tall in a land of giants. He had tattoos all over his body. Corn rows. Compression sleeve, and a headband. Terrifying? It was if you were trying to defend him. What Allen Iverson did was haunt anyone who attempted to slow him down. He had the look. He had the handle. He had the heart. But what Iverson had most of all was an uncompromising ability to be himself, and that translated into greatness. In 2001, it all came together. On this day, he was named MVP, the culmination of a season where he carried everything on his shoulders and made the league adjust to him. ROF x Iverson | Link in bio.

“Triumph: Icons of Rap”, a book by Living Proof. 5/7/26. Living Proof has worked with photographer Clay Patrick McBride to release a book documenting the golden era of rap’s defining artists during the creation of their most pivotal works, drawn from sessions Clay spent with the artists in their early years and magazine campaigns from the era’s best, photographed in their home towns. With nearly two decades worth of photographs spanning rappers from New York, California, Detroit, Philadelphia, Louisiana and Houston to groups ranging from the Wu-Tang Clan to Dipset; Clay’s unique access documents an era that left a permanent global footprint in an unprecedented fashion. “Triumph: Icons of Rap” will be sent to members of the Living Proof Patreon for the month of May 2026. @clay_patrick_mcbride

You won't wanna miss this. Thursday. March 12th. Put it on your calendar! Get signed up NOW for Clay Patrick McBride's masterclass of a pre-conference workshop where he will share all the secrets to creating larger-than-life portraits with nothing more than a backpack of gear and a sharp eye! 👁️ 📸 🎒 Pack Small, Play Big is a fast-paced, hands-on lighting and location portrait workshop built for photographers who want to become more proficient assignment photographers, efficient, adaptable, and ready for anything. With Clay's 30 years of assignment photography experience, this workshop mirrors the realities of editorial and commercial shoots: limited time, unpredictable locations, mixed lighting, and the pressure to deliver strong frames on demand. We’ll begin with a quick breakdown of a lightweight professional kit, how to pack it, move with it, and build redundancy without overloading your bag. Then we hit the street to work real-world constraints: harsh sun, ugly walls, tight spaces, weather shifts, distracting backgrounds, and subjects who don’t have time to “warm up.” You’ll learn to see light fast, choose angles that simplify the scene, and create portraits with shape and mood using compact strobes, speedlights, small modifiers, and practical light. This workshop prioritizes decision-making over perfection. We’ll cover directing with clarity, building trust quickly, balancing ambient with flash, controlling spill, and creating a consistent look across multiple locations. We’ll also touch on assignment workflow: expectations, timing, shot lists, and delivering under pressure. You’ll leave with a repeatable system and portraits that feel editorial, intentional, and alive. Please note that space is limited; this pre-conference workshop requires a separate fee. Full Northern Short Course registration is not included with this workshop. Don’t forget to bring your camera and a lens to take part in this hands-on workshop.
