Hour 1:
@t3j____
Melbourne-based live artist Tom (T3J) delivers sophisticated, hardware-driven performances centred on melodic and hypnotic techno. Drawing inspiration from the deep, minimalist architectures of artists like Oscar Mulero and Mike Parker, his sound skillfully integrates elements of electro, leftfield, and dark ambient. Since his debut five years ago, Tom has released two significant EPs: Material Ventures (2024) and Shadow Apparitions (2025), serving as diverse explorations of techno’s intersections.
Renowned for his commitment to the live medium, Tom prioritises sound design and sonic intensity over raw tempo, often utilising lower BPMs to emphasise intricate, fleeting textures and atmospheric depth. Each performance is a unique, non-repeatable event that balances rigorous preparation with real-time improvisation. By embracing the idiosyncrasies of the space, the sound system, and the energy of the crowd, Tom creates a visceral dialogue between performer and audience, ensuring no two sets are ever the same.
