“When will I know I’m ready?

As almost all of you should know, I’m obsessed with Spider-Man. When I was younger, I dreamed of swinging through the city fighting crime like my favorite superhero. To me, Spider-Man is a symbol of hope when all things are looking down. There are numerous cases where he has been beaten and torn down, both physically and mentally, but at the end of the day he keeps standing. While it may seem cheesy, I’ve always looked at him as inspiration.
I chose this quote because not only is it from one of my favorite movies, I can relate to it a lot. When I first started my college career, I was studying something I had no passion for, but I felt like it’s what I had to do. I was originally scared to follow my passion for cooking, but as the Peter B. Parker says “it’s a leap of faith.”
For those who haven’t seen the movie, this is the point where Miles starts doubting himself and feels like he can’t be Spider-Man, and I had this same feeling wanting to pursue my passion. With great support from friends, family and my amazing wife, I decided to take the leap and attend culinary school. This decision has opened so many doors and opportunities, and I know God will continue to provide. I can tell he has big plans for me, and I can’t wait to see what they are.
Thank you everyone who has had an impact on me as I learned how to turn my passion into a career, especially the teachers and mentors I’ve had over the last couple years.

Kids Teeth spread some sweetness in the community this week! 🍩✨ We picked up several dozen Krispy Kreme doughnuts and delivered them to our amazing referring partners.
This batch was extra meaningful — every doughnut came from a fundraiser supporting the Class of 2027 Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association at @tridenttech . 💙
Proceeds from the fundraiser will help cover important expenses over the next year, including conference fees, pinning ceremony costs, instruments, and dues.
