Seeing @asimwaqif ‘Chaal’ at the India Pavilion @indiainvenice , Venice Biennale 2026 feels deeply personal. Two years ago, Triadic curated Liminal Gaps at @nmacc.india , and this was one of its centrepieces. A handwoven bamboo installation that examines ecology, anthropology and the roots of traditional architecture. Waqif challenges the traditional process of artistic creation, pulling viewers through a sonic symphony triggered by their own movement and interactions. From the floors of NMACC Mumbai to the Arsenale in Venice — Chaal is now representing India at the 61st Biennale di Venezia as part of Geographies of Distance: Remembering Home, curated by Dr. Amin Jaffer. Commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, in partnership with @nmacc.india and the Serendipity Arts Foundation. 📸 1-7: @indiainvenice 8-10: Liminal Gaps, 2024 @nmacc.india

‘City Hall’ lives on 🏛️ From Dover to the Sphere in Las Vegas @spherevegas In August 2024, TRIADIC brought French artist Olivier Grossetête @oliviergrossetete_artiste to Phish's Mondegreen Festival in Dover, Delaware. Over 1,000 volunteers helped build an 80-foot monument solely using cardboard and tape, and then tore it down together on the final day of the festival. This past weekend, Phish brought it back on screen as part of their 9 night residency at the iconic venue.

🔺TRIADIC RECS 🔹 Helmut Lang - SÉANCE DE TRAVAIL 1986–2005 MAK - Museum of Applied Arts, Vienna Open until 3 May 2026 An exhibition tracing Helmut Lang’s radical vision across fashion, sculpture, and installation. Stripped back, precise, and uncompromising, the show reveals how Lang redefined minimalism—transforming garments, materials, and the body into enduring cultural statements. A must-see for anyone interested in the intersection of fashion, art, and conceptual practice.

UNDER THE SUN @dougaitkenworkshop Floor Three: Future @nmacc.india On the third floor, LIGHTFALL / OTHER WORLDS rose between floor and ceiling as a luminous column of shifting light and sound. Composed of hundreds of suspended waves of illumination, the sculpture formed a glowing orb that expanded, dissolved, and reassembled in continuous motion. Moving like a breathing organism, the work transformed the space into an instrument of perception. Responsive to sound and performance, its light shifted in real time—turning music and movement into pulses of colour and energy that animated the entire environment. 🎥 @dougaitkenworkshop

🔺TRIADIC LOVES 🔺 Lou Reed & Robert Wilson - POEtry Thalia Theater, Hamburg 2000 A haunting collaboration merging music, theater, and visual language—POEtry reimagines the world of Edgar Allan Poe through sound, light, and slow, dreamlike movement. Reed’s compositions and libretto meet Wilson’s surreal staging, where light behaves like a living presence and time stretches into atmosphere. A hypnotic work that dissolves the boundary between performance and hallucination. Photograph © Hermann and Clärchen Baus

Spring has sprung 🌹🌸🌷🌼 To welcome in the new season, here are some submissions from our Still Here — Moments in Isolation book. UNDER THE SUN @dougaitkenworkshop Floor Two: Present Now that the exhibition has closed at the NMACC in Mumbai, we look back at the second floor, where the gallery transformed into a kaleidoscopic environment of mirrored walls and shifting screens. At its center was Doug Aitken’s film installation NEW ERA (2018), an immersive meditation on the origins and future of mobile phone technology through the voice and reflections of inventor Martin Cooper. Presented within a six-sided mirrored chamber, the work surrounded viewers in a continuous flow of images—vast natural landscapes juxtaposed with the devices that define contemporary life. Through this reflective environment, NEW ERA invited audiences to consider how digital innovation reshapes our sense of time, space, and human connection. 🔹TRIADIC RECS🔺 Michael Heizer - Negative Sculpture Convoluted Line A & B Gagosian, New York Open until March 28th, 2026 Two new negative sculptures by Michael Heizer continue his decades-long exploration of line, scale, and absence. Cast into a raised concrete floor, the works unfold as winding steel forms—precise, almost drawn gestures translated into monumental space. Spanning over 80 feet and conceived as a unified environment, the installation invites a physical encounter with line as both presence and void. A powerful continuation of Heizer’s legacy, rooted in his radical land works of the 1960s. Photos by Maris Hutchinson Video @gagosian

🔺TRIADIC LOVES 🔻 Gaetano Pesce’s @gaetano.pesce radical 1994 office for advertising agency Chiat/Day in New York — a bold experiment in color, material, and spatial freedom. With resin-coated surfaces, custom furniture, and an open-plan layout that challenged the conventions of corporate architecture, Pesce transformed the workplace into a playful, expressive environment. Fragments of this iconic project are now being revisited in an upcoming exhibition at Pulp Galerie in Paris, alongside a new book documenting the visionary office that helped redefine creative workspaces.
