Thank you @tcg_gram for featuring an article on the world premiere of “The Waterfall” in American Theatre Magazine!!
If you aren’t in NYC to watch the play @brittanidsamuel really captured the essence of this play in her feature.
I love this magazine (and writer) so being on the front page of the website is CRAZY!!!

7:00pm: The Waterfall, WP Theater, 2162 Broadway
Then check out the world premiere (and Thrown Stone Theatre Company's off-broadway debut!) The Waterfall, written by Phanésia Pharel and directed by Obie-winner Taylor Reynolds. Returning home to assist her mother after a hospitalization, Haitian-American Bean soon finds her confidence shaken by her mother’s idea of what her life should be. Stuck at home, with nowhere to run from her mother’s ideas of marriage, motherhood, and malady, Bean must ask, “Do you know who you want to be? And are you brave enough to own it?” The Waterfall is an intimate and aching two-hander about the generational divides around family, womanhood, and the idea of the American Dream. This is one of the shows we're excited about this month, and boy, are we excited!
8:30pm: The Owl's Tail, 215 W 75th St.
After the show, head to The Owl's Tail, a casual spot for cocktails and the perfect place to debrief after the show!

We're thrilled to be kicking off 2026 with a workshop of Gina Femia's lisa; a fantasia, which received a Relentless Award Honorable Mention in 2024!
lisa; a fantasia is a swirling, metatheatrical autobiographical exploration of how we live through trauma, and how we create our art in an industry that wants to own our narratives. Gina was also a 2017 Relentless Award Semi-Finalist with their beautiful play The Mermaid's Parade, and we're so delighted to support their continued relentless work—as well as their collaboration with director Taylor Reynolds, who helmed our reading of 2024 Relentless Award winning play Manakin, by Dave Harris.
We hope you'll join us to see this dynamic cast--led by the playwright in the title role--bring this ambitious piece to life.

🥳 today is @navithefirst ’s birthday!! i am so lucky to have you by my side caring for me. you have a heart of gold and i know this next year will hold so many great things for you! i love you 🥳
ps pancake loves you too 😻
my father died a few months ago. i’ve been pretty private about it, but part of my grief work is saying it out loud. i’m grateful for my loving community of family and friends who have been and continue to be there for me. i’m grateful i’ve been able to spend so much time in chicago to be with my family. grief is hard because it’s a reminder that still have so much love to give my dad. i wish more people got to know him, he was so funny and full of love, he worked hard to make my life easier in the small ways he could. i miss him so much and i am not the same without him.
