Primarily a stills photographer early on, I've become much more of a 'one man band' without sacrificing still image quality 📸 Made a little demo reel with some of my favorites 🎥

March 17, 2026–a fitting day for an Irishman.
Many knew you as Tom, or Dr. Cavanaugh, but I had the unique and distinct privilege of being able to call you Grandpa, and boy did you live that name to the fullest and find such incredible joy in having, teaching, showing, loving, and taking care of all us 21 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
From teaching me one of your greatest loves—to fly, and become a private pilot—I’ll think of you every time I watch a plane fly over my head. To teaching me that, if you can, doing it right the first time is better than many ways of navigating any challenge you face: you’ll be there with me when I think “well, time to try that task/project again, this time the right way.” But in the end, ~doing~ is most important. To all of the times spent with you, cameras in each of our hands, capturing the world around us—you’ll be with me on every shot, “make sure it’s level, now: that’s it.” To teaching me the value of hard work and the doors in life it can open for you, if you use your strengths to help others.
I feel lucky to have been able to grow so close to you in life. It’s one of the things about losing your physical presence that will be the hardest to come to terms with. But it’s also one of the things that will grow to make it easier over time. So much of who you are is baked right into us.
I had the distinct privilege to be known as your caretaker—to ensure your complete and holistic care and comfort. It’s hard for me to identify a moment in time when that job or role began, it just kind of happened.
Grandpa—I’m going to miss you with all my heart.
I love you. I’ll carry your legacy on in the best way I know how: teaching, showing, loving, and taking care of others.
And the care doesn’t stop here. You have my word, as I promised to you in our final moments, I have the watch, and I will continue to care for our Mimi, until you two are together again. ♥️

❄️Gracie & Jaxton — 12.13.25♥️
Getting married 2 weeks apart from our very best friends has been so fun. Reagan and I are so happy for you both and soo glad we popped out into the snow for a minute ☃️
Got back to my car this morning and someone had drawn a heart on the hood. Checked the dashcam and it caught them drawing it just a few minutes prior. Pay it forward to a snowy car *you* see or in a kind gesture to someone today♥️
Because I guess it needed to be said:
Space Shuttle Discovery should stay put and in one piece, so tens-to-hundreds of millions of dollars can instead go toward solving real-world problems for Americans.
Surprisingly, there are proposals, letters, and studies changing hands between the US Office of Management and Budget, NASA, and the Smithsonian Museum to prepare for Discovery to be dismantled and transported to Texas for display there, instead.
This is a preposterous proposal, and you should look up your elected leaders, call them this coming week, and tell them (if you agree) that this is not only wrong, but they should leave Discovery where it is, and find innovative ways to help their constituents in solving their real-world problems.
Policymakers have already allocated and approved $85,000,000 to this endeavor through the July 4, 2025 reconciliation bill, and for discovery to be moved sometime in the next 18 months.
NASA and the Smithsonian have recently responded that the cost for disassembly and transport will be between $120,000,000 and $150,000,000. (Not including construction of a new museum in Texas)
Please, call your elected federal leaders. Share with them that this is not right. Tell them that it is a ridiculous amount of money to be spending on such frivolous and pointless endeavors. The stack of things needing funding, time, energy, and collective human collaboration directed toward solving them is impressively long, and the fact this is a priority is a national and global embarrassment.
