🕷️The trailer for Spider-Noir dropped today… and I’m still trying to put this into words. I can’t share much yet—just a few glimpses from hair, makeup, and a little 1930s detail—but I had to mark this moment somehow. Because what stays with me isn’t just what ends up on screen… it’s what happened behind it.🫆 This experience changed me. I walked onto set thinking about the work, the performance, the outcome—but what I didn’t expect was the level of care, encouragement, and genuine love I was met with. The hair and makeup team, especially, held me down in a way I’ll never forget. They reminded me I deserved to be there. They poured into me. And yeah… I definitely cried (more than once).🥹 People see the final product. The trailer. The premiere. The finished story.🎬 But for me, this was about growth. About being seen. About doing something I love and feeling it reshape me in real time.🎭 Grateful is an understatement. My first adventure to Bali was… not what I expected. 😅 This trip was completely impromptu. I didn’t even book a place to stay until I was on my layover in Hong Kong (also—worst meal of the trip, easily). 🍜 When I finally got to Bali, I had one—maybe two—peaceful days. And then… the weirdness started. So, there’s this gecko in the room that sounds like it’s yelling my name—“Treee-saaaa! Treee-saaaa!”—nonstop! I’m not even kidding. I figured it was something I’d get used to here. 🦎🤷🏾‍♀️ So I’m sitting on the porch eating, minding my Bali business, and this dog—who had completely ignored me the entire time I’d been there—suddenly decides we’re in a negotiation. 🤔 Mind you, earlier I’d been out there smoking my duty free menthols I scored in Hong Kong, so apparently he clocked that. 🚬 Didn’t care about me at check-in. Didn’t care about me before. But the second food shows up? This dog comes up to me… with an empty pack of cigarettes. I’m like, sir??? Is this a trade offer?? So we’re bartering now?? 🐕 Anyway… that should’ve been another sign. ⚠️ Because the next morning, I wake up to a RAT. On top of my desk…chillin’! 🐀 Had to call someone to bring a trap. They caught it. I said cool, leave the trap there just in case. Meanwhile, my uninvited roommate who knows me by name, 🦎, is leaving little “presents” everywhere.💩 I kept finding pellets all over the place. Now I get it, the sheers over the bed are not for decoration! Next morning? Another rat. In the trap. 😒 At that point… I was done. Got my money back, packed up, and headed for a new Airbnb.
