This is a story of resilience – from seeds to forests, and forests to futures. Across Africa, communities are harnessing the power of trees – building a world where land and life grow stronger together 🌍🌳 Because when trees thrive, people thrive too. Discover more about our refreshed look, link in bio. We are Tree Aid. Resilient by Nature. Narrated by our patron, @adjoa.andoh .

Introducing Tisa-Tchon 🌱 Tisa-Tchon, meaning “reforestation” in Likpakpa and Dagbani, has officially launched in Yendi, Northern Ghana. Working across ten communities, this community-led project will restore degraded land through tree planting, #AssistedNaturalRegeneration, #Agroforestry and climate-smart agriculture, while supporting sustainable livelihoods linked to shea, honey, and moringa value chains. Across Northern Ghana, forests and farmland are under growing pressure from deforestation, land degradation, and climate impacts – threatening biodiversity, soil health, and rural livelihoods. Tisa-Tchon is designed to support communities to restore landscapes while building long-term resilience. Launched on 11 May 2026, the project brings together communities, partners, and local leaders in a shared commitment to healthier ecosystems and stronger livelihoods 🌍

Good news from Mali 🌿 With support from the Darwin Initiative (@biodiversitychallengefunds ) this community-led project in Segou is restoring 10,000 hectares of land while building sustainable incomes and protecting the forests local people rely on. From training cooperative members to run successful businesses, to creating firebreaks that reduce the risk of wildfires – here's the project's progress in action 👉 Find out more about the project, link in bio.

Happy Earth Day 🌍 Today, we celebrate the planet we all call home, and the communities working hard to protect and restore it. We know that trees provide a vital solution to some of the most urgent crises affecting the world today. Our community-led projects are bringing ecosystems back to life and growing sustainable futures – through the power of trees 🌱 That’s why we’ve grown over 40 million of them since 1987 💚 #EarthDay2026 #OurPowerOurPlanet
