Let’s go!!!🚨 This year, we are excited to welcome Mikey Vegaz as one of our storytellers who is going to take the stage and share their intentional resilience story. From balancing the music business as an artist to restaurantour as a co-founder of Trap Kitchen PDX. Mikey is also the visionary behind Rise of a King, a transformative youth development movement, allowing him to dedicate his life to breaking the cycles and creating real pathways for the next generation. Due to increased demand to host another mixer following the success of our yearly mixers, we decided to add another to honor Earth day, and talk about economic mobility, green energy/sustainability and navigating the workforce. We only use Instagram to share our events as we don’t have proper resources. So please share this with someone who missed the last one or register today if you are planning to be at the mixer. Another MOVEMENT last Saturday with @rosecityjam NIGHT SPORTS!!! 🔥 For the COMMUNITY, by the COMMUNITY — and we showed out heavy. Eastport Community Center was packed wall to wall, energy all the way up from start to finish. 🏊🏾‍♂️ @rosecitychristopher Night SWIM had the pool lit 🏀 Coach @poohsnickens had the gym going crazy 👨🏾‍🍳 @chefedubble brought the heat with the cooking class ✂️ @mackk__nless @lu.e.lu_official FREE haircuts keeping the youth fresh 👑 @elateyouth held it down with The Girls Room — always empowering, always needed 💰 Financial literacy gems being dropped 🎮 @dayonetechplay came through with hands-on activities keeping the youth engaged and learning 🎨 FREE face painting + activities all throughout 🫶🏾 we can’t forget about @cloudsofsugar_ 🍭 the youth love to see them in the building! This is what it’s about… safe spaces, real resources, real love, and real impact.
