Live at Studio Namsan : David Fogarty (May 2026) Currently based in Berlin, David Fogarty is a selector and curator connecting forgotten psychedelic and experimental sounds to contemporary dance floors. Through his label Transmigration, he has built a distinctive musical archive spanning eras and genres, while also being part of Berlin record store Sound Metaphors — a key hub deeply rooted in the city’s underground music scene. His sets go beyond straightforward genre-driven selections, unfolding instead as immersive journeys shaped by rhythm, texture, tension, and release. Moving through rare grooves and unexpected transitions, David slowly draws the floor inward, crafting a narrative entirely his own. 현재 베를린을 기반으로 활동 중인 David Fogarty는, 잊혀진 사이키델릭과 실험적인 사운드를 현대의 플로어로 다시 연결하는 셀렉터이자 큐레이터다. Me and @transmigration.berlin made a compilation album. It took us a while to get it out - the artists licensed us everything pretty smartly but it took me ages to find the time to interview them all for the booklet (yes there's a booklet!). Sorry David. I learnt to DJ off compilation albums, in fact they form a hefty foundation of my entire record collection, so it's a very dear format for me. Immensely proud that all of this beautiful music has a connection to the shithole area where I grew up, in the industrial wasteland and council estates between the A13 and the River Thames. Thanks to everyone who's bought one already (and everyone who sent me a picture for proof too, I love you!) First press is sold out at the distributor but you should be able to find some at your local vinyl dealer. If not we'll make some more so you don't get ripped off on discogs. Mad respect to all the artists, labels and distributors who contributed these diamonds in the rough, and to Darren Emerson for the little chat about djing in Essex too. 💙
